About Somet Group
SOMET group has been established in 1987 by its present C.E.O and owner Yadin Segal.
In the beginning of the year 1999 SOMET group was already employing above 150 employees. Mr. Segal then started to look for new channels to
develop the group.
The first new activity was the real estate business, it started with a 7000 m2 combined office & storage building in Qadima, industrial park,
continued through a 24000 m2 “ high tech” office building in Poleg industrial park, and then the residential segment was approached and a luxury
apartment complex was built in the “yappy” part of Tel Aviv.
The overseas real estate business followed very quickly, it started with several investments at luxury residential projects in Manhattan – New
York, the latest is known as the Gramercy stark www.gramercystarck.com. Then the business expanded to Europe, under the name of EXOM, it involves
today (at different stages of entrepreneurship) in residential building projects in Croatia, Romania and Slovakia.

The second activity which started during the year 2001 was the food & beverage. The group is a regional franchise of the leading Israeli coffee
shop network called AROMA; the region is considered as one of the most popular leisure areas in the country and includes the two key cities of
Herzliya & Netanya. The group owns several locations and expects to open few new ones during 2008.

Another investment in that field has been made overseas, the group entered into an investment in a bakery located in New York targeting the
gourmet bread market in the US.
The third activity evolves the group with oil & gas business. The group has invested in potential oil fields located in Calgary, Canada.
The fourth and recent activity is linked to transportation and traffic. Two completely different investments have been made at that segment. The
first is in the booming “fuel substitutes” area, the group has invested in a start up that owns a patent for such materials and has already
started chemical tests in laboratories.
The second investment is the creation of a new very large “truck center” located at Port Elizabeth, New Jersey. This investment is expected to be
developed in two directions both a service center and as a commercial and distribution activity dealing with truck tires manufactured in China.

An additional investment in that segment has been made in the year 2003; the group has created a joined venture with the world leader in the field of industrial control - the company PHOENIX CONTACT with its headquarters in Blomberg Germany, Harrisburg USA and Nanjing China.
