Medium Duty Truck Maintenance Schedule A

Every 5000 Miles

  • Replace motor oil (3-15 gallons)
  • Replace oil filter(s)
  • Fluid level service [trans, differential(s), main/parking brakes, radiator, etc..]
  • Front/rear/parking brake inspection **
  • U-bolt connection service (axle and box)
  • Inspect motor and transmission mounts/bolts
  • Lube entire chassis, steering, drive line
  • Replace fuel filter(s)
  • Drain and/or replace water separator
  • Replace air filter(s) [if needed]
  • Running lights service
  • Inspect for damaged or leaking Cooling, fuel, steering, brake** system
  • Inspect for abnormal leakage of motor oil, differential oil, transmission fluid.
  • Inspect tires for damage, pressure and nails - inflate
  • Other mechanical problems
  • ** AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS USE A MODIFIED SCHEDULE

Every 15,000 Miles

  • Perform all items listed on Schedule A
  • Complete steering linkage inspection/service
  • Front/rear suspension service
  • Parking brake service**
  • Fuel/exhaust system service
  • Throttle linkage service
  • Spring to axle service/inspection
  • Replace coolant filter (if equipped)
  • Drive belt service
  • Flush brake fluid
  • Pressure test cooling system
  • Load test charging system
  • **AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS USE A MODIFIED SCHEDULE
